The conference is scheduled to be held simultaneously at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel and through Zoom teleconferencing. The theme of the conference – ‘Repositioning the Financial Services Industry for an Evolving Glocal Context’ – is motivated by the need to articulate an actionable blueprint for repositioning the financial service industry as a major catalyst for economic advancement in the current fast-paced technology-driven era. The chief host of the conference is the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele while the President and Chairman of Council, CIBN, Dr. Ken Opara, is the host. Chairman, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Farouk Gumel, will give the keynote alongside Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Mr. Tarek Amer. The conference is an annual event and the largest gathering of banking and finance professionals in Africa, with an estimated audience of 10,000.
